Hemali Dassani
Hemali Dassani is a senior fundraiser and consultant to multiple Private Equity funds. She has two decades of experience raising capital for well-respected private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative asset managers. She has built strong relationships with some of the largest public and private pension funds, endowments and foundations, insurance companies, family offices, and FoFs. She has been a Managing Director with CapLink Securities which connects alternative investment managers and select companies to institutional investors. She was Director of Investor Relations and Chief Compliance Officer at Argand Partners, a leading Private Equity fund. Previously, Hemali was Director of Investor Relations at Castle Harlan, where she helped lead global fundraising efforts. When she is not managing investor relations or raising funds, Hemali is active with the Harvard Business School Club of Greater New York where she previously served as the President and is currently a lifelong Board Member and served as Co-Chair of the Racial Equality Task Force.
Hemali is a graduate of Northwestern University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Nandu Kuppuswamy, CFA
Nandu Kuppuswamy, CFA, is an investment management professional with expertise as both an asset allocator and an investor relations professional. His career and professional experience spans investor relations, fundraising, asset allocation, due diligence, operations, analytics, research, and strategy. He has a track record of raising funds from institutional investors as well as HNIs. Currently, Kuppuswamy is the Managing Partner of Ambrosian Sun Advisors, an advisor to alternative fund managers. Previously, he has managed investor relations and fundraising for Sandstone Capital (hedge fund), Kotak Mahindra Inc.(multi-asset), and Zodius (growth PE) and served as a COO and General Partner of a Venture Capital fund. Earlier he was an asset allocator at Spider Management (University of Richmond’s endowment) and managed credit risk for an $8 billion amortizing portfolio at CapitalOne.
Nandu is a CFA Charterholder. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad.
